Hi buddy,
If you read last week’s newsletter you knew I was headed to the New York area to meet Sandra (pictured above) from A pinch of sanity and Rebecca’s Gourmet with family to see their extremely talented children perform in the YAGP senior ballet competition. They were both AMAZING and it was wonderful to see so many amazing and talented young people. Being there brought out my appreciation for art once again and now I want to go see a really honest ballet!
We went to Tarrytown, New York, 25 miles north of New York City, and I wish I could have seen more of it. Located right on the Hudson River, it is a quaint New England town. It is located directly south of Sleepy Hollow, made famous by writer Washington Irving. You can also visit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where he and many other famous people such as some Rockefeller, Astor, Leona Helmsley and others are buried.
But if you’re ever in Tarrytown and like pizza, visit Pizza and Pasta Capri! Their pizza is incredible and their garlic knots are out of this world, as is the ice cream.
If you need me in the next week or so, I’ll be parked in front of the TV as the Boston Bruins are in the first round of the PLAYOFFS!! I’ll be wearing my Ullmark shirt for every game too! 😊

I don’t have a favorite product this week because I haven’t shopped. LOL I know, it’s so hard to believe, right?! But it’s true (except for the shopping, of course)!
This comes from my mother years ago. I remember one evening, as a teenager, after dinner, she told me to put some lotion on her hands before putting them in gloves to wash the dishes. She said the heat from the hot water would help the lotion soak into her hands and keep them smooth. And she really does! But of course, if you put the lotion on without gloves and then wash the dishes, that would defeat the whole purpose! 🤣
I’d love to hear all your tips and what has helped you be more efficient and organized in the kitchen! If you’re interested in sharing them with all of us, and if I choose to share them in our newsletter, I’ll give you a shoutout by name! ❤️
