introduction
Sangria is one of the most culturally curious Spanish drinks. Visitors to the country love to drink it, but most locals would never order it in a bar! Sangria has a Spanish heart, but modern versions come from the United States. Most likely, you will only find inferior versions in most bars to please tourists.
That said, a good sangria is delicious, and it is the perfect cold cocktail to enjoy under the summer sun. Many Spaniards make some sort of wine punch for family barbecues, using all types of wine. My favorite is made with rosé wine, giving the cocktail a deliciously fruity flavor and a beautiful ruby colour!
