  • Fast: The air fryer cooks salmon in just seven minutes, but even if you bake it in the oven, dinner will be ready in less than 15 minutes.

Ingredients Salmon Pesto

  • Salmon: You will need two fillets with skin. I prefer wild salmon. If you use frozen salmon, defrost it the night before in the refrigerator.
  • Pesto: Buy pesto at the grocery store or make your own using my basil pesto recipe.
  • Parmesan: Cover each fillet with grated parmesan.

How to Make Salmon Pesto

  1. Seasonal salmon: Spread pesto on each piece of salmon and sprinkle with cheese.
  2. Air Fryer Pesto Salmon: Spray oil on the fryer basket and cook for seven minutes at 400°F.
  3. Baked Pesto Salmon: If you don't have a fryer, cook the fish at 425°F for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.

Air Fryer Directions:

  • Spray the basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  • Spread 1 tablespoon pesto over each salmon. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese on top.

  • Air fry for 7 minutes at 400°F or more depending on the thickness of the salmon.

Oven directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425F. Spray a small baking dish with olive oil.

  • Spread 1 tablespoon pesto over each salmon. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese on top.

  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon.
