  • Small onions & garlic cloves: aromatic substances that deepen the flavor of the sauce.
  • Sun-dried tomatoes: Adds a slightly smoky flavor to the sauce.
  • Child spinach: Adds a little green to the sauce.
  • Heavy cream: The base for our rich cream sauce.
  • Dry basildried parsleyand dried rosemary: Classic Italian condiments.
  • Parmesan cheese: Adds a spicy touch umami flavour to the sauce.
  • Fresh basil for garnish

How to make Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken

First season the chicken with salt, pepper and paprika. Now heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Next, cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Next, remove the cooked chicken breasts from the pan and add the butter.

Now, once the butter has melted, add the garlic and onion. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onions have softened.

Add the tomatoes and spinach to the mixture, cooking until the spinach wilts, about 2 minutes.

Then pour in the cream and dried herbs, leaving everything to cook for 5 minutes.

Next, add the parmesan and return the chicken to the pan. Leave everything to heat for 2 minutes.

Finally, serve it with a sprinkling of fresh basil and freshly grated black pepper.

Leftovers and reheating

Store leftover Tuscan chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

  • Remove the chicken from the packaging and dry it with paper towels.

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Cook the chicken for 5 – 7 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through.

  • Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside. AND

  • Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the now empty pan.

  • Using your spoon, scrape up any browned bits that may be stuck to the bottom of the pan.

  • Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and onion and cook for 2 – 3 minutes, or until the onions have softened.

  • Add the tomatoes and spinach and cook until the spinach is just wilted, about 2 minutes.

  • Add the cream and dried herbs and leave to simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Stir in the parmesan and add the chicken back to the pan.

  • Let heat for 5 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
