Iberian ham
A photo from the day trip I took to Madrid. An incredibly beautiful place with great food and kind people!
Jamón ibérico is one of the best and easiest things you could probably cross off this list of Spanish dishes.
It’s a sliced raw ham that you can buy in some stores (so no cooking!) and it’s incredibly rich and delicious.
Plus, you can eat it as is or with bread and cheese. Definitely worth a try!
Garlic soup
I love putting eggs on things, so I can’t wait to try this Spanish recipe! It looks incredibly nutritious and tasty.
Plus, with ingredients like garlic, olive oil, paprika, and even bread (as a thickener), I don’t think you can go wrong.
Arroz con Pollo (Spanish chicken and rice)
This is the kind of recipe you make when you want something super filling and satisfying.
I love chicken and rice recipes, so this one will be very near the top of my list.
Plus, it includes things like white wine, olives, garlic, saffron, olive oil, and many other ingredients that make it taste amazing. 👌
Basque Cheesecake
Caramelized on the outside like a creme brûlée, it has that wonderful burnt sugar flavor on the outside while having a creamy inside on the inside.
I’ve had it a couple of times and that’s it Always satisfying and delicious!

Gazpacho
Gazpacho soup is a cold soup to be consumed on hot days. Now, I’m not used to cold soups, but I would definitely like to try this refreshing recipe!
Valencian seafood paella
This is considered the most authentic version of paella, but of course it will always be debated.
Either way, I’m definitely down to try a delicious rice and seafood recipe! With all the different types of meat and spices, I can see this being a very satisfying Spanish meal. 🙂

Spanish omelets are so different from what we Americans call omelettes. They’re baked with potatoes, eggs, olive oil, and other delicious ingredients to make this super filling and comforting breakfast.
Escalavada
Slow roasted veggies are so good and I’m all for trying this escalivada with some fresh bread!
Being a classic Spanish tapas dish, the peppers, onions, tomato and aubergines (aubergines) are roasted with olive oil and garlic and are probably packed with flavour!
Roasted Spanish potatoes
Spanish potatoes are so incredibly good; they are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Plus, before cooking, they are tossed in a delicious sauce that makes them super tasty!

Spanish Rice and Beans
Honestly, if it’s not the American version of rice and beans, I’ll eat it.
No hate towards people who like it (at all!), it’s just that I grew up with the American version and didn’t really like it. But whenever I eat rice and beans elsewhere, it’s always super flavorful and delicious. So I would try this Spanish version in a heartbeat!
