White rice or White rice it’s the perfect accompaniment to any Colombian meal. In my family we ate white rice as a side dish to everything. For my grandmother, the coffee maker, rice maker and pressure cooker were all the kitchen utensils she needed.

She got up every morning and made coffee and white rice and kept them warm in the rice maker throughout the day.

Below is the printable recipe card with exact amounts and instructions.

Rice: I recommend using long grain rice for a good texture, but you can use your favorite.

Waterfall: If you want more flavor you can also use chicken or vegetable broth. I like dry rice, but you can increase the water by ½ cup if you want.

Oil: Use your favorite oil or butter

Salt: Adds flavor to rice.
