This is a basic formula for turning tea into a cappuccino.
2 teaspoons loose tea or 1 tea bag + 3/4 cup hot water + 1/3 cup milk or cream + sweetener (optional)
Here are some fun teas we suggest making into lattes
This can also be done with Matcha or Golden Milk
Milk
You can use any type of milk or cream you want: dairy, soy, oat, flax
Sweetener
Any type: sugar, brown sugar, honey or date syrup.
Directions
1. PREPARE THE TEA
Bring the water to a boil or, if using an electric kettle with a temperature setting, set it to 208°F. Water quality makes a difference: if possible, use filtered water.
Place the tea and hot water in a teapot and let steep. Filter the tea leaves. Mix the sugar
2. MILK FOAM
To recreate that perfect, bar-quality steamed milk at home, use an electric milk frother. It heats the milk and froths all at once, beautifully.
You can also froth milk using a French press. Heat the milk on the stove over low heat and once small bubbles begin to form along the sides, remove the heat and pour the milk into a French press. Pump the plunger of the French press up and down a few times until the milk has doubled in volume.
3. ASSEMBLE THE DRINK
Pour the tea into a teacup and then cover with the milk foam.
