Information about the Peda recipe for milk powder:
Before we move on to today’s recipe, let me share with you a very interesting story that I think will definitely inspire you to make this recipe.
This story is about how I came across this quick peda recipe. And the story goes like this….
A few years ago, while everyone was preparing for the Diwali festival, including me, with lots of delicacies. I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten something very important.
With so much work and busy schedules, I was so overwhelmed that I forgot to prepare some sweets to offer during the Puja and, of course, to my guests.
And I thought, now what?
One of my friends was watching me very closely and asked me
What was wrong with you, my dear. Why do you look so worried?
I explained the reason for my concern.
She simply smiled and asked, “Do you have formula at home?”
I just nodded, yes…
And she said, “Wow, that’s amazing. then the problem is solved.”
“Just show me your kitchen, give me 10 minutes and the powdered milk.”
believe me in just 10 minutes, with just a handful of ingredients it was ready with a delicious and creamy peda to offer in the pooja and also to impress my guest.
The pedas were a big hit in my family and my guests liked them too.
Guess what?
They were surprised to know how this delicious dessert turned out in just 10 minutes and everyone asked me for the peda recipe.
With that experience I learned something very important “even during the busiest times, it is possible to create something special and delicious if you want”
Since then, Milk Powder Peda has become my go-to recipe whenever I need a quick Indian dessert.
This instant milk peda recipe is ideal for a school event for kids, a last minute dinner or a holiday celebration. Not only are they easy to make but also bring back beautiful memories of Diwali. I miss that simple act of friendship and that quick recipe idea that solved my problem.
This recipe for making milk peda with milk powder is very simple. It doesn’t take long – just about 10 minutes. These sweet milk pedas are very good but are simple to prepare. You only need a few basic ingredients.
The recipe uses the normal powdered milk we have at home. With just a little sugar, ghee and cardamom powder, you can make soft and flaky pedas in no time.

Serving Tip:
These Peda with Milk Powder are excellent as a dessert after meals or as a snack at any time of the day. These milk powder containers are also perfect for putting in your kids’ lunch or snack boxes. They’re easy to make and a treat your kids will love during their school day.
Storage Tip:
You can store these tasty pedas in an airtight container at room temperature if you plan to consume them within a week. For longer storage, I would recommend refrigerating them and simply leaving them at room temperature before serving for the best flavor and texture.
Expert Tips:
When preparing these instant milk powder peels, pay attention to the flame. Keep the heat medium, not very high. If the flame is too high the peda mixture may stick to the pan.
Continue cooking and mix the peda mixture until it forms a ball. If you don’t cook it enough and it doesn’t become a ball, the pedals won’t firm up properly. They will remain sticky instead of becoming solid.
Allow the mixture to cool slightly before shaping the pedes; this facilitates shaping and avoids breaking the pedals.
In my case this time the pedas came out smooth except for some that I tried to make without letting the mixture cool.
Because my little girl was craving some sweets and I couldn’t resist making some for her right away. (but even if there are any cracks you find just ignore and enjoy the pedas, because the shapes won’t make any difference in the taste). 🙂
