How to make an Italian walnut cake

In a bowl or stand mixer, beat the remaining sugar and butter until creamy, then add the vanilla, egg and egg yolk one at a time.

For each cup of all-purpose flour, remove two tablespoons and replace with two tablespoons of cornstarch. Leave to cool for 15-20 minutes in the pan then move to a wire rack to cool completely, dust with icing sugar before serving. Enjoy!
