Pomegranate Orange Mocktail (Whole30)

Looking for a festive non-alcoholic drink to serve at your next party? Whip up a pitcher of my Whole30 Pomegranate Orange Mocktail!

This Whole30-friendly bubbly drink is perfect for everyone at the party, especially if they’re paleo, underage, or fellow sufferers. Asian/Glow color. My non-alcoholic pomegranate cocktail is the perfect combination of tangy pomegranate juice, sweet orange juice and tangy ginger, and you won’t even miss the alcohol!

Of course, if you want to turn this mocktail into a full-fledged adult beverage, you can replace the sparkling water with champagne or prosecco. Don’t worry: your secret is safe with me!

Ingredients

  • Medium orange
  • Grated fresh ginger (Pro tip: use a microplane to zest a frozen piece of peeled ginger root)
  • Pomegranate juice (no added sugar)
  • Unflavored sparkling water
  • Pomegranate arils (optional garnish)

  • Peel the zest of the orange using a potato peeler. Make sure you don’t scrape too deeply because the white stuff is bitter. Save a few pieces of zest for garnish and add the rest to a large pitcher

  • Squeeze the orange and pour the OJ into the jug with the zest. Add grated ginger (also known as ginger snow), pomegranate juice and sparkling water.

  • When ready to serve, stir well and strain before pouring into ice-filled cocktail glasses. Garnish the mocktail with some pomegranate arils and the reserved orange zest.

If you want to turn this mocktail into a real adult drink, you can replace the sparkling water with champagne or prosecco.
