Indian
Bow Tie Pasta With Baby Spinach Recipe

  • To start making the spinach bow ties recipe, take a large pot of water and bring it to a boil.

  • Once the water has boiled, add a little salt and olive oil. Bring the heat to low and add the Farfalle. Cook the pasta in boiling water for 5 minutes. Most Indians like their pasta fully cooked, but pasta is usually cooked al dente (two-thirds cooked) – prepare it to your preference.

  • Place a saucepan over medium heat and add some olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the Italian seasoning.

  • Add the garlic and onion and sauté until the onions are soft. Add the tomato puree and cook until the sauce has thickened. Tear the basil leaves and mix well. Add salt and pepper according to your taste.

  • Now add the cooked Farfalle and mix until the tomato mixture is well blended with the pasta. Now add the baby spinach and cover the pan with a lid until the spinach is cooked. Give the pasta a good stir to make sure all the ingredients are well mixed.

  • Transfer the pasta to a serving plate and garnish with chopped parsley, homemade ricotta and edible mustard flowers.

  • Serve the spinach bowtie pasta recipe alongside garlic bread and broccoli soup for a nice Sunday lunch.
